Worth knowing
The notification carries the authoritative vacancy table: total posts, split by post name, and within each post by category under the communal rotation. Numbers sometimes revise mid-cycle when departments add requisitions, revisions publish as corrigenda on tnpsc.gov.in.
Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Assistant Commissioner (CT), District Registrar, Assistant Director (Industries), District Employment Officer. Their pay and roles differ more than most applicants assume, compare them before setting preference order, not at counselling.
Cut offs are competitive: more vacancies pull the line down, fewer push it up. A cycle with double the posts can be several marks easier at the same paper difficulty. Read the vacancy table alongside past cut offs to set a realistic target.
Cycle stages and figures follow official TNPSC notifications; dates update when TNPSC announces them. Sources: TNPSC official notifications. Figures are indicative and may change with each official notification. Data last reviewed: July 2026.
