BCM (Backward Class Muslim)
A 3.5% reservation carved out of the BC quota for Muslims belonging to notified backward communities in Tamil Nadu.
BCM candidates get the same relaxations as BC: an upper age limit of 34 for degree-level exams and no upper limit for Group 4. The community certificate must state a notified backward-class Muslim community; at verification the claim is counted only under the category the certificate actually supports. Cut off tables list BCM separately from BC.
