TNPSC never pre-announces a cut off. The number you see is the mark of the last candidate selected in each category and gender. More vacancies pull it down, an easier paper pushes it up, and a surge in applicants pushes it up further.
That is why a single year is a weak target. Compare your category across the last three years and aim 8 to 10 marks above the highest of them.
