SCA (Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyar)
A 3% reservation within the SC quota for the Arunthathiyar community in Tamil Nadu, applied on a preferential basis.
Preferential means Arunthathiyar candidates are considered against the 3% first, and those who make the wider SC merit or the general turn are counted there instead. Cut off tables list SCA separately, usually a few marks below SC: 135 against 138 in the 2023 Group 4 written exam (male). The community certificate must state Arunthathiyar specifically.
